In April 2012 a Polish demo group (with a Finnish programmer, ha!) MadWizards won the Amiga demo competition at the Revision party in Germany. They used my remix of Aural Planet’s “Hydropoetry Cathedra” as the demo’s soundtrack, which was nice. The track was produced back in 2003-2004 already, but hey who cares!
The demo and the soundtrack have been getting pretty rave reviews on Pouet.
Check out the demo below:
I recently remixed the Jamaican dancehall artiste Busy Signal’s 2009 track “Picante”.
I participated in the Assembly 2011 music competition (had other plans first…) with it, but (as I assumed) it didn’t quite work out for me — 9th position. :D
Anyway, go on and give it a listen here:
I recently participated in a remix competition of the biggest cult hit “Oi Beibi” of a legendary Finnish rap band Raptori, who were mainly active in 1990-1991 and make a comeback every 10 years (2010 being their second comeback). I was selected as one of the Top 5 finalists. If you are on Facebook, you can listen to and vote (i.e., “LIKE”) my remix right here! Thank You. \o/
A remixed / remastered version of an old (unreleased) Yolk & Legend tune Point Taken was used in my friend Juha Fiilin’s Short film Tocar la Gorda. The film features lots of crazy shit by various persons..
The film premiered at the Rakkautta & Anarkiaa Helsinki Film Festival in 2009.
