New “Wolfsberg” remix for Sundial Aeon

I’m happy to be selected as one of the remixers for Sundial Aeon‘s upcoming Wolfsberg album! It’ll be available on September 2012 and you can pre-order here.

Other remixers include e.g. my friend Lackluster. :)

New track: Picante (refix) feat. Busy Signal

I recently remixed the Jamaican dancehall artiste Busy Signal’s 2009 track “Picante”.

I participated in the Assembly 2011 music competition (had other plans first…) with it, but (as I assumed) it didn’t quite work out for me — 9th position. :D

Anyway, go on and give it a listen here:

New track in Hitlantis: “Oh! A whoa!”

Well, not so new, this was already released at the ASSEMBLY 2010 music competition. This is a slightly fixed version, less bass-heavy so it doesn’t destroy your PA.

“King Thrill” has even posted a positive review, thanks!

Raptori – Oi Beibi (Crankshaft “Swear My Shaft rmx”)

I recently participated in a remix competition of the biggest cult hit “Oi Beibi” of a legendary Finnish rap band Raptori, who were mainly active in 1990-1991 and make a comeback every 10 years (2010 being their second comeback). I was selected as one of the Top 5 finalists. If you are on Facebook, you can listen to and vote (i.e., “LIKE”) my remix right here! Thank You. \o/

Mjölk final website released

There will be Mjölk. Whatever that means, you can try to figure it out HERE.

And we even made it to the Vuoden Huiput (the Finnish Best of the Year advertising competition) 2009 shortlist!

Long time since the last update… Just wanted to let you know that the 1999 classic by Crankshaft & Brothomstates, “wekilldaenemy”, will be released soon on an ambient compilation called Chilling Cuts Vol 4. Audio samples and complete tracklisting (and ordering!) here:

Crankshaft @

I created an artist page for myself at, check it out here! I uploaded most of my older material in good quality audio, so feel free to listen to it… Check out the “Albums”. (And ignore the heavy band, there’s nothing I can do…)

Yatta Website released

Crankshaft produced the Website for Yatta Ltd. Check it out here!

The site is a clever mash-up of several Web 2.0 techniques, taking advantage of WordPress 2.5, Prototype and Scriptaculous JavaScript libraries, 24-bit alpha PNGs and some custom code. :)

I’ve moved!

After an extraordinary four-and-a-half years of living in Catalonia’s capital Barcelona, I’ve moved back to Helsinki!

I’m currently busy working at Fake Graphics and can’t accept that many freelance work offers anymore… However, I’m still happy to hear about interesting projects (preferably audio work), so don’t hesitate to contact me.
